Fall 2009

We have been super busy lately. Fall is here full force and feels like yesterday that I was posting fair pictures. This morning was our first frost, and boy was it a frost. I woke up at 6:00 am this morning, and looked out the window, and thought there was snow!! It was really pretty. Kaden spent the night with Roy and Reta, so Russell and I went to Sunday School at Church, then he went to feed cows and pick up Kaden and I came home and made pizza. Then I went out and started staining the rest of our trim for our living room. (When it is all done, I will post before and after pics). Russell shot his bow for a while and then went hunting. Kaden woke up from his nap and rode his bike for a while. I found some caulk in the garage so touched up the old caulk around all the windows and doors of the house for the winter. Kaden and I went on a walk and adventure after that. The lot behind us that we bought, has an old rusted glider that still glides, and I love it. Kaden and I moved it over under a tree and he let me take some pictues of him on it. We walked around a bit more and took pictures of some of the things around our house. Kaden then went and stole "Miss Amanda's" football from her yard and played football. We have had a really good day and I will post more pics later. Hope everyone had a really good Sunday too!

Kaden's New Pony !!

Kaden got a new pony today!! He is so excited and so are we! He looks like the perfect size and has shown no signs of being aggressive. I can just see him riding this pony with his legs wrapped under it's belly and his arms around it's neck. We are calling it "Jaqs" tonight, who knows what tomorrow will bring though. Reta took these pics tonight and he looks pretty happy. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.

Day at the Zoo

We went to the Zoo Friday and Kaden had a blast. The last time he was at a zoo, was when we went to Denver. He told most of the animals that he loved them. We took a video of him talking to the monkeys. The monkeys were really sweet and liked Kaden. He had a big day.

The pics of Kaden in the white shirt and hat are of the final sale. He walked around smiling at everyone. As you can see in the pics, people in the background were smiling right back at him. He is such a clown!

Kaden had a wonderful time at the fair this year. It was his first year showing. He got Grand Champion with his goat and 3rd place with his lamb. He was not shy at all. Thanks to everyone who helped him and came to watch him show.

FAIR TIME!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! It is Fair Time again. Kaden is so excited!! He is showing a goat and a lamb. The goat's name is Tootsie and the lamb's name is Anna Lamba. We are getting ready to go pick them up from the farm right now. We are taking them to the vets office for a check up and then off to weigh-in. He will show them both tonight @ 5:00pm at the livestock barn arena at the fairgrounds at Houston. He would be very proud to see you all there.
The Livestock sale is Saturday @ 4:00pm at the same place.
There is a kiddie show for the young kids on Friday night @ 6:00pm also, everyone is welcome to come, it is free and the kids get a free t-shirt. You might come a little early for the kiddie show if you want to sign up.

I have posted some pictures from last years fair and the Kiddie show. He had so much fun. It is also pretty funny that the goat he pulled around last year is the same color as the goat he will show this year. Hope you all enjoy the photos from last year and I will post pics from this year soon!!!

I cannot believe that Kaden has grown so much since last year, he looks so small in these pics. Keep your fingers crossed, pray for us, or say some hail marys that he will lead his animals and that they behave well!!

We have been super busy as has everyone else I know. Russell and I had another birthday along with g-ma Betty. We are keeping busy with our garden and swimming. Kaden has started a new daycare, Wee Care at the First Baptist Church. He seems to like it so far. Sparky Barky is getting big. He likes to chew up anything he can. I am ready for him to settle down a bit, but I know we are a ways off from that. I hope everyone has a good 4th of July. Most of my family is going to Tennessee for a family reunion, but I have to work so we won't be going. Kaden and I are off to the farm to check and feed the cows and scope out the gardens there. Russell is having an intense craving for pizza from the Bendavis feed store, so I may pick that up for dinner. HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!
