Chicago Love

 

 

 

 

Ok, so Russell and I went to Chicago a while back. We went up one day and came back the next, so while it was not a long trip, it was a full trip, literally a very full belly trip. Russell has family in Chicago, we only got to see his aunt and one cousin, but it was fabulous!! His aunt is Italian and so, therefore so are his cousins. We really did not know if we would have time to go by and see them or not so we did not call too far in advance. Boy, once we called though, they got the ball rolling! First off, Aunt Josephine and her son Chuckie make their own sauce and freeze it. So when we talked to Chuckie the second time, he told us the sauce was thawing and they were going to make us Chicken Parmasan!! Boy was I excited. We went to check into our hotel and set off for there house which was about 45 mins. away. When we got there they had fried zucchini and eggplant waiting for us. Beyond Fabulous!! They then finished cooking the pasta and sauce and Chicken and beans and bread and I could go on and on and on! The pictures do not do it justice, but I wanted to share with everyone and tell you it is worth the trip to Chicago for the food!! Thanks again Aunt Josephine and Chuckie!!

Kaden's new/old desk

 

 

 

Kaden has a new desk. It is not exactly new, but new to him. He calls it his 'treasure'. We got it at the flea market and he loves it. We really like it too. He puts all his colors and coloring books in it along with his puzzles, so that keeps that stuff off my floor!

Cowboy Kaden -PRCA Rodeo

 

 

 

 

Kaden went to the Licking Rodeo with Roy and Reta and he wanted to wear a "Cowboy Shirt". So we got out his cowboy shirt and cowboy hat and he was an official Cowboy! He was posing in the house and wanted me to take his picture so we headed outside and he posed like no tomorrow. He really liked the rodeo, he now ropes and ties cows in our living room every chance he gets.

Trey's 4th Birthday Party

 

 

 

 

Trey Miller, Kaden's friend had his 4th B-Day party Sunday at the park (the best place on earth for parties). He had a Monster Truck theme and the boys had a lot of fun. Kaden has decided that he wants a monster truck party for his birthday now, even if it is six months away. Happy Birthday Wednesday Trey!!!

Kaden went to the Bicycle Rodeo at Walmart this past Saturday. He received a free helmet, got his bike worked on and got to ride through a course. As you can tell from the photos, he really enjoyed himself.

I was looking back at some old pictures I still had on the computer and I found this one and thought I would post it since we just had Spring Turkey season. We are really blessed that Russell killed one the first day he went out. He soaked it and we cut it up last night and I am looking forward to cooking some of it!! I posted a whole bunch of pictures for everyone, some are about a month old now, but hey they are still new to you!
I am feeling much better, still a little sore but feeling much much better. I go back to work on May 7th, so hopefully by then I will be good as new. Sparky Barky the dog is doing well, he is still a lap dog and has to sleep with us and touching me at all times. I have no idea what we are going to do when he is 80 pounds!! He is house training well and growing like no tomorrow. He does like to chew.....A LOT! But that goes with having a puppy. Kaden and I are trying to teach him to sit and shake, he is doing good at sitting, not so much the shaking part. Sunday Russell, Kaden and I went and picked up his "baby" lamb for the fair. The "little" lamb weighs about 75 pounds and is not halter broke yet. It should be fun! Kaden is going to show a lamb and a goat at the fair this fall. We are getting the goat from my dad. If anyone else wants to do it, you need to get your lamb, goat, or pig by this Sunday the 3rd. Weigh-in is at the fairgrounds from 1:00 to 3:30. You have to weigh your animal in in order to show it at the fair. Kaden did the fun show last year and had a blast.
We have really been enjoying me being home every night and I really dread going back to working nights, but at least I have a job, unlike many right now. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures!! Happy Thursday Everyone!
