Our Week

Hey everyone. I am possibly the worst blogger in the world. I seem to have no time. Anyway, a little update on our week.....

0) Kaden started the week off with the stomach flu---A.K.A "did that stuff come out of my belly?"
1) our house was shown, still no offers
2) I missed a ton of sleep from the showing and still no offer. (I may still be a little tired and cranky)
3) my G-ma Joyce passed out and fell while walking to her car, went to the E.R., was admitted, had 2 MRI's and tore some stuff in her shoulder. Now at home and very sore.
4) worked again all night after house was shown and g-ma went to the E.R. with very little sleep.
5) slept a few hours, had a life insurance meeting at work, took Russell along, my Mom stayed with Kaden, bought some life insurance so that when I mysteriously die, Russell will get a bunch of money, and also got to go eat by ourselves after the meeting.
6) got home, Kaden and Mom playing/whining. Kaden was complaining that he felt bad and his head hurt. Then his belly hurt, Then he just cried.
7) then he puked on me from the shoulder to my hand, to the stovetop, to the cabinets, to the floor----yucky!
8) Kaden cried some more because he doesn't like to throw up.
9) put Kaden to bed with blankets on the floor and a bowl in the middle to possible catch the puke if need be.
9 a.) Find out my Mom's van started having car trouble on the way home.
10) fall asleep to be awakened after an hour to Kaden crying, again. Get Kaden back to sleep.
11) fall asleep to be awakened, again. Rock Kaden for awhile, he goes to sleep, again.
12) Don't fall asleep again and Kaden still wakes up crying. Carried Kaden to our bed, put him in between us and he sleeps like a baby, unlike his mother. I finally get up and go to the living room. I fall asleep around 6:00am, Kaden came in and woke me up at 6:45am. He feels fine this morning!!
13) I have to get in the shower and leave for Springfield by 8:00am.
14) I go to my ENT dr. appt and guess what? I am now getting my tonsils taken out at age 25.
15) celebrated at Olive Garden ( my favorite )
16) junk shopped with Stephanie all day
17) head home, get a call from Russell, Kaden's belly hurts again, but he's not throwing up!

Is his flu ever going to end?

I am sooooooo looking forward to tomorrow and having no plans!

Russell is going fishing Sunday at Bennett Springs for the opening day of trout season. I am going to work again Sunday night. We start the circle again. Hope everyone had a good week, and and better wekend!!

The top pic is Russell's old roping horse named "Patch". He was a rodeo pickup horse before Russell got him to rope off of. He is enjoying his retirement. The horses on the botttom are some of my Mother and Father in-laws horses.

Mickey Mouse Cowboy

This is my Mickey Mouse Cowboy. Kaden has fallen in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I found this coat on the clothes rack at Aldi's (the discount food store). They always have a little bit of everything, but this day was fantastic! My steals for the day, Disney mickey jacket $0.99 , Adjustable waist courduroy pants $0.99, three turtlenecks $0.99, and a sweater $0.99. Not to mention the cheap groceries. I love Aldi's!! Kaden got this pistol and cowboy hat for his b-day.

Catch up

OK, so I have been in a blogging funk, hopefully I am out of it now. It is like anything else, when you get so far behind, you don't want to do it at all. Kaden is so excited today, Aunt Aimee called to say they had 8 puppies last night and his name is on one of them. They are a very rare breed and I have googled them and cannot find any others in the world! Ok so they may not be a stand alone breed, but they are a nice crossbreed. Rhodesian Ridgeback / Dutch Sheppard. These are going to be some awesome dogs. If anyone is interested, shoot me an email and I'll tell you about them.
While I am on the note of selling things, if anyone needs a great house close to town, we have one for sale!!! It is listed with Remax and we want to move!
Kaden has started making faces, and as you can see below, they are pretty darn funny. He grabs my camera and says, "Mommy, take a pic!" So I do, and then I post it. Happy Wednesday everyone!

Pictures from the Party

I am posting a bunch of pics from Kaden's b-day party on here. To view them all, at the bottom of each blog page there is a place you can click that says 'older posts'. Click that and it will take you to each additional page. I created this blog so I could post lots of pics at once, for everyone to view, rather than emailing and clogging up everyones inboxes. I have trouble only posting a few pics so there are a lot. Please do not mind the fabulous picture quality on some of the pics. If anyone is around me long, the hear how much I cannot stand my camera. It is pretty unpredictable. I have one setting that works fairly well all the time, for a good all around photo but, if it gets switched, then the photos really are cruddy. So, some are good, some are bad, if you don't like it, you can donate to the 'Abby wants a new camera fund'. I have to say though, as long as Kaden is in the pics, I have trouble calling them bad pictures. On another note, I cannot believe the arsonal my kid got for his b-day. He ended up with 4 guns (3 pistols and 1 shotgun) and a Bow and Arrow set. To top it off, the guns are cap guns and one person got a whole bag of caps so he wouldn't run out anytime soon. What happened to loving his stuffed animals who are quite?
Kaden had a wonderful b-day, in his words,"Mommy, it was the best birthday ever." I am so thankful that we have a thankful kid. He is such a blessing!!

Kaden's Mack Truck Cake

As many of you may know, I had been stressing over making this Mack truck cake for Kaden. It is really the only thing he wanted for his birthday. I love my kid. I love the pressure he puts on me to make things happen. Whenever we would ask what he wanted for his b-day, he would always say, " A Mack truck cake from Cars." How can you not feel fantastic about a kid who only asks for cake on his b-day? Anyway, I felt a little pressure to deliver on that request, so here are the pics that you all asked to see of the cake.

Birthday Breakfast

This was the first picture of the day on Kaden's birthday. We started off the wonderful day with his favorite breakfast: frozen waffles and sausage. He LOVES them. While it may not be a very healthy breakfast, he loves it, it's easy, so I love it.
