Lots of pictures to follow....

I was looking back at some old pictures I still had on the computer and I found this one and thought I would post it since we just had Spring Turkey season. We are really blessed that Russell killed one the first day he went out. He soaked it and we cut it up last night and I am looking forward to cooking some of it!! I posted a whole bunch of pictures for everyone, some are about a month old now, but hey they are still new to you!
I am feeling much better, still a little sore but feeling much much better. I go back to work on May 7th, so hopefully by then I will be good as new. Sparky Barky the dog is doing well, he is still a lap dog and has to sleep with us and touching me at all times. I have no idea what we are going to do when he is 80 pounds!! He is house training well and growing like no tomorrow. He does like to chew.....A LOT! But that goes with having a puppy. Kaden and I are trying to teach him to sit and shake, he is doing good at sitting, not so much the shaking part. Sunday Russell, Kaden and I went and picked up his "baby" lamb for the fair. The "little" lamb weighs about 75 pounds and is not halter broke yet. It should be fun! Kaden is going to show a lamb and a goat at the fair this fall. We are getting the goat from my dad. If anyone else wants to do it, you need to get your lamb, goat, or pig by this Sunday the 3rd. Weigh-in is at the fairgrounds from 1:00 to 3:30. You have to weigh your animal in in order to show it at the fair. Kaden did the fun show last year and had a blast.
We have really been enjoying me being home every night and I really dread going back to working nights, but at least I have a job, unlike many right now. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures!! Happy Thursday Everyone!

Easter Egg Coloring at it's Best!

Counting and saying the colors, waiting to get his fingers in it.

So excited to have egg dye all over his fingers the night before Easter....and no it did not all come off before church the next morning.

Waiting patiently........

This is Kaden painting the eggs. I highly recommend this form of coloring the eggs. It was much less mess, more fun for him, and on Easter when it rained, the color didn't rub off on his hands like the egg dye did.

The Picnic

Kaden has come to love picnics on the back porch. He plays in his sandbox all morning, then wants to picnic on the deck. Yes he is in a rocking chair with no pants on......or underwear! That's the way things go around here, Kaden rarely has on underpants! It just makes peeing off the deck easier without pants on. It is so easy to be a boy.

Kaden's picture in Shannon County newspaper

Shannon County Current Wave, Serving Eminence Missouri Mo, Birch Tree Mo, Winona Mo and Summersville Mo.

This is Kaden's picture on the front page of the Shannon County Current Wave newpaper. Roy and Reta took him fishing in Winona and a photographer asked to take his picture for the newspaper. He had a lot of fun as you can tell and I just love this picture. If anyone is interested, Montauk is having a kids fishing day this Saturday. There are also other activities going on that day. The state nursery is giving away tree seedlings, and fly fishing demonstrations and such.

Givaway on my Sister Site

This is a givaway from what I am calling my Sister Site. This is my friend Tanya's blog and I am calling it my Sister Site because I started my blog before her, she really liked the idea, so she started her own. The funny part of this is that she is now celebrating her 100th post today, and I have only posted 89 and have been doing it a month or two longer than she has. She has really networked and built her site up, while I am a slacker blogger and happy with just a few family and friends viewing my blog. I do not usually add other peoples posts to my blog, but this cupcake holder is AWESOME, yes so AWESOME that it deserves all capitol letters!!! I have borrowed her cupcake holder on numerous occasions and I love it, why I don't go buy my own, I have no idea. I think I like getting to call and say, "Tanya, it's me again, you remember that thing, that is red, and a double layer, that you put cupcakes in? That thing that you can bake cupcakes in the bottom, and then put cooled cupcakes in the top layer and bake another pan on the bottom. The cupcake holder, yeah that's it!! Can I borrow it again for the 50th time? I can! Oh thank you!! You know I should really buy one but I don't know if I would use it much."
At this point Tanya is thinking, "oh noooo I'm sure you wouldn't use it much, you have just used mine 50 times this year. I am so sure it would be a waste of your money to buy one."

So, Tanya is giving away a cupcake holder on her site this week in honor of her 100th post and since I think so much of this particular holder, and Tanya, I am linking you to her site. http://millerracingfamily.blogspot.com/
You have 3 ways to win so get on it!! The directions are below.

P.S. go to her recipe directory and pull some 'awesome-fantastic' recipes off of there, copyright free!!!!! She is a pro at slow cooker recipes.

Little Update

OK I have been a very lazy blogger again. So to update everyone on what's been going on around here: I had a second tonsil surgery due to excessive bleeding last Monday. Spent the night in Rolla hospital then discharged home. Recovery process started over. I am feeling better this time around though. Kaden got his dog, his name is Sparky Barky. We are digging up our entire back yard to replace the lateral lines. People have been bringing some awesome food to eat. I got to see my long lost buddy Amber, she is in from Pennsylvania. Sparky Barky is the best dog EVER! We are going to pick up Kaden's lamb Sunday for him to show at the fair. We also have to get his goat from my Dad. We have to halter break a goat and lamb in one week before the fair weigh-in! Kaden got to ride on a backhoe yesterday when cousin Jared came to dig the hole in our back-yard for the soil-sample test. Our soil smaple passed the test to go ahead with the system. I was able to eat at Spring Garden yesterday--that is major! Kaden is super excited about his "new best friend, the best dog in the world, Sparky!" I got to go buy flowers for my planters and garden veggies that my Dad is having to plant b/c I can't yet! Hee Hee good for me! I am growing 68 tomato plants in my house to transplant, I am not sure they are going to keep growing though. We have had another looker at our house. And finally, I cannot wait for the temperature to stay up in the 70's !!!!!
I'll post some pics soon.

Some more Easter Egg Hunt Pictures

These are some more Egg Hunt pictures I got today. I was unable to go so my great, wonderful, and did I mention BRAVE, BRAVE friend took Kaden with her son Trey. She did have reinforcement on backup call though, she managed to get her aunt and mother to go with her. I guess 3 adults to 2 3 y/o boys is pretty even. Her aunt also happens to be a photographer so she took some pictures too. She put them on a disk for Tanya and I. Thanks Roxie! The following pics are from her. I forgot how much I really enjoy looking at pictures of Kaden that I did not take. We you take all the pictures, you pretty much know what you are going to have, but when you are not there and the pics just come to you, it is like a big surprise! Thanks Linda, Roxie and Tanya for taking Kaden for a fun day!
